How to use this tool
- Paste one item per line in each list.
- Choose matching rules and the result group you want to export.
- Compare and inspect the group counts before copying that group.
How it works
This is a set-membership comparison. Repeating an item does not add another member, but duplicate totals are reported separately. The shared and A-only groups keep A’s first-seen order; B-only keeps B’s order. Union contains A’s unique entries followed by previously unseen entries from B.
A practical example
Start with
A: apple, pear, pear B: pear, cherry
What to expect
Shared: pear. Only A: apple. Only B: cherry. Union: apple, pear, cherry.
Important considerations
Reordering the same members produces no membership difference. To locate edits within a document or compare ordering, use Text difference checker instead.
1 MiB per input. Input remains in page memory until you reset or leave. Copy and download actions are initiated by you. No tool input is sent to a processing service.

Only if each physical line is a complete entry. For quoted multiline CSV records, use the data tools.
